Welcome

Hi, I’m Lisa

I’m so glad you’re here.

Whether you found this website because you’re curious about the Bible, looking for answers, or simply wanting to grow closer to Jesus, I want you to know that you’re welcome here.

Walking Through the Word was created from a simple desire—to know Jesus more deeply by understanding His Word. As I spent more time reading Scripture, I realized that asking honest questions wasn’t a sign of weak faith. It was one of the ways God was helping me grow.

That’s exactly why this website exists.

Why I Started Walking Through the Word

There was a time when I realized I didn’t just want to read the Bible. I wanted to truly understand it.

I wanted to know who the authors were, why they wrote what they did, what was happening historically, and how each book fit into God’s incredible story of redemption.

As I began slowing down and studying Scripture chapter by chapter, I discovered something unexpected: the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn.

That’s what inspired Walking Through the Word.

This website isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about walking through Scripture together, asking honest questions, learning in context, and growing closer to Jesus one step at a time.

If something I write encourages you to open your Bible, understand it a little more clearly, or fall more deeply in love with Christ, then this ministry blog has accomplished exactly what I prayed it would.
